Welcome to Tea Olive Tree!

Welcome to Tea Olive Tree! I have started this blog to share my life and writing with you. You’ll find recipes, stories, lesson plans, musings on parenthood, and much more here. I hope you take a look around and drop a comment to say hello.

Why Tea Olive Tree? Great question! The tea olive tree is a fragrant tree that grows in warm climates. It has white or orange blossoms that smell similar to jasmine or gardenia. I love the name of this tree because it symbolically encapsulates my dual identity as a Palestinian-American living in the South. My name, Runda, also means “scented tree” in Arabic. I can’t help it, the English teacher in me loves symbolism!
